Sept 29th James Moreno Southampton L2 Home – City of Southampton Swimming Club closing date to Val via openmeets@seaclosesc.co.uk by 5th September however this is popular so the sooner the better for entries.

Dates for the diary – 2018

Further details will follow but the provisional dates for this years events are:

Rother League Galas
Saturday 9th June, Saturday 23rd June, Saturday 15th September (final round tbc)

Isle of Wight Champs
Sunday 8th and Sunday 15th July

Club Champs
Sunday 28th October, Saturday 3rd November, Sunday 4th, Tuesday 6th, Friday 9th and Sunday 11th November

Isle of Wight Sprints
Sunday 9th and Sunday 16th December

Easter Break 2018

Over the easter period there will be no swimming on the following dates:

Lessons

No lessons on easter weekend – 31st March or 1st April. Lessons are on as normal the following weekend, 7th/8th April.

Squads

There will be NO squad sessions from Good Friday (30th) through to Friday 6th inclusive. Squads will start again as normal on Saturday 7th April.

This includes morning and evening sessions.

Christmas & New Year Break 2017/2018

Lessons

There last lessons for the year will be on the 16/17 December. No lessons on the 23/24th or 30/31st December. Lessons begin again on 6/7th January

Squads

The last session of squads before Christmas will be on Thursday 21st December.

Normal sessions begin again on Wednesday 3rd January.

Update – following feedback / availability we will run ONE session between Christmas and New Year on Thursday 28th December only. There will be no training on the morning of the 27th.

 

City of Southampton Open Meet – March 2018

The club will be supporting the City of Southampton Open meet which takes place on Saturday 3rd March 2018

Age groups are 9/10, 11/12, 13/14, 15+.

Events are 50m of all strokes, 100m of all strokes, 200m Free and 200IM.

The meet is a first come first served basis so if you want to enter please get all information to Val via openmeets@seaclosesc.co.uk by January 8th at the latest to give the best chance of being accepted to the meet.

 

Seaclose Club Championships 2017

Reminder

First Session – Sunday 29th for 1500m swimmers. Warm up is 5.30pm. There will be no training on this evening.

 

This years club champs will be on the following dates / sessions. The champs will be swum with competitors from all three island clubs so we can ensure that there are enough officials and volunteers but results will be specifically for the individual clubs.

Rother League Round 2 Team Sheet – 23rd September 2017

Travel Details

We will be travelling by car on the 5pm Fishbourne Ferry, returning on the 10pm Fishbourne ferry.

If you haven’t confirmed attendance please do so ASAP.

 

The team sheet for round 2 of the Rother League can be downloaded here.

This gala is all relays so lots of swims for everyone.

Please confirm if you can or can’t attend ASAP.

We will travel by cars therefore if you are willing to drive please let us know and how many people you can fit in your car. The club will cover all ferry costs.

We have to take officials so will need a judge and a timekeeper at least. If you can do either of these jobs please let us know.
