Membership: Please would all swimmers and parents note there are protocols with the ASA we have to follow when both registering swimmers and also if you decide to leave.
Membership forms are filled in and submitted to the club secretary on joining and on leaving, you have to give a written resignation to the club secretary or you could end up liable for extra fees. This is not a Seaclose policy but an ASA one which governs all swimming including insurance.

The 2016 Postal swim results have been published with some great results for Seaclose Swimmers.
Amongst the highlights were Alex Stewart was 1st in the Mens Open age group, George Hayward and Oliver Lacey 10th and 11th respectively in the boys under 10’s, Eleanor King 13th and Emily Kral 15th in the Ladies open age group and Lelayna Blacklock 13th in the girls 14-15 years.
Great swims all round by the 16 Seaclose swimmers that took part.

A long hard season has culminated in Success for Abigail Lacey in the 14 yrs 50m Breaststoke event at the ASA Nationals at Ponds Forge, Sheffield.

Megan King also attended the national championships which is a great success to have to swimmers qualifying for this event – well done.

The swimming season for 2015/16 culminated in a very busy July for members of Seaclose Swimming Club as swimmers attended the Hampshire Development Meet, City of Southampton Summer Splash and the Clubs Championships also concluded.

Arrangements for swimming over the summer are:
Lessons
Lessons are now finished for the summer. First lessons back are the weekend of 3rd/4th September
Evening Sessions
Evening sessions will finish on Tuesday 19th July in line with schools finishing.
Thursday evening this week is on (14th July), but Friday (15th) and Sunday (17th) are cancelled due to the Champs.
Evening sessions start again on Tuesday 6th September
Morning Sessions
Sunday mornings now finished in line with lessons finishing until Sunday 4th September
Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Saturday mornings continue until Saturday July 30th.
As a reminder Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday sessions are open to ALL squads, including Junior Squad.
There will be no swimming at all in the first two weeks of August but there will be training on Wednesday mornings on the 17th, 24th and 31st August. This will be open to all squads but please ensure you are there for 6.00am sharp to start the session.
Morning training returns as normal on Saturday 3rd September.
Saturday (16th July) will be normal time and will start training but then be a fun session to mark the end of the school term.

Lesson and Squad Sessions – May Bank Holiday 2016
Over the bank holiday weekend the following squad training sessions are NOT taking place:
- Thursday 26th – Evening session at The Heights
- Friday 27th – Evening session at Medina
- Saturday 28th – Morning training at Medina
- Sunday 29th – Morning training for Junior Squads.
There are no swimming lessons on Saturday 28th or Sunday 29th
Senior squad training on Sunday evening will take place and will be for 2hrs, 17.00-19.00 as a joint session with West Wight Swimming Club.
